Greenhouse is a forward-thinking firm of Chartered Surveyors providing business and consumer advice and support on matters relating to the evolving market for surveys on residential properties.

With years of experience working across the industry both regionally in the North West and nationally in London, allied with longstanding hands-on professional practice, the company has built up an impressive array of business knowledge and connections.

Our Vision

Founding partners Iain Johnson MRICS and Graham Ellis BSC(Hons) MRICS have 60+ years between them advising on properties being bought, sold or lived in. In establishing the company in 2008 they envisaged that the traditional way in which homes are exchanged and occupied would change, and that time-served traditional processes would gradually cease to be appropriate. They anticipated that these changes would be driven by a need to meet increasing client expectation appropriate to the digital age. 

The profession is changing fast with lots of exciting things in the pipeline - and Greenhouse is right in the mix!


Whilst our vision has not changed, indeed events within the profession and the market only serve to reinforce our long held views, the circumstances of the partners have, meaning that the company is unable to carry on trading for the foreseeable future.

Iain is now actively engaged on other business and Graham, who was part-time, is unable to work due to long term illness.
